Miss Keri has a Master of Library and Information Science degree with an emphasis in early literacy. She has worked at the Waukee Public Library since 2013, and previously worked at the Carlisle Public Library (IA) and the Basalt Regional Library District (CO). Miss Keri enjoys planning and producing fun and sneakily educational programs for all ages of children and teens at the library, and loves helping young readers find new titles to enjoy.
Eliza - Children's Librarian
Miss Eliza has a Master of Library and Information Science degree with a focus on children’s literature. She joined the Waukee Public Library in 2019, and she previously worked at the Amherst Public Library (MA), and in a variety of museums doing educational programming for kids. Miss Eliza loves Science Comics, kiddie yoga, and any opportunity to wear a costume.
Melanie - Children’s Programming Outreach Specialist
Miss Melanie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa. She most recently spent several years as a stay at home mom raising three daughters, volunteering at school, church, and as a Girl Scout leader. Visiting the library and participating in the in children’s programs was a regular activity for Melanie and her daughters over the years. She joined our team in 2022, and she is thrilled to be a part of your child’s literacy journey.

Miss Robin has a degree in biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia and worked as a Naturalist and in labs early in her career. After having 3 sons, she taught Preschool for over 20 years in Kansas City, MO. She then assisted in two elementary school libraries and got into public libraries as a Children's Library Assistant with the Olathe Public Library, KS. Later, Robin became the Youth Services Librarian at Tri-Township Public Library, IL for 12 years. She “retired” for a few years to spend time with family and now has 7 grandchildren in Chicago, Colorado, and Waukee. Robin came out of retirement and joined the Waukee Public Library in August of 2023. She is thrilled and excited have fun with young children and their families through books, songs, movement, and learning.
